Pharmacy apps: the honest guide to your options.

Every pharmacy owner has been told they need an app. Some do. Here are the real options — website first, marketplace app, white-label app or custom build — and when each earns its place. We make one of them, and we will tell you when it is not the right spend.

Nothing to pay yet

Start with the website, add the app when it earns its place.

We build the website demo first. If an app makes sense for your pharmacy we will say so; if it does not yet, we will say that too.

Questions

Pharmacy apps: questions owners ask

01

Do I need a pharmacy app?

Only once your website is doing its job. A website is how new patients find you; an app is how existing patients come back.

02

What is the difference between a marketplace app and a white-label app?

A marketplace app is one app under the provider’s brand with many pharmacies inside it. A white-label app is the provider’s software published as your app, with only your pharmacy in it.

03

Is a pharmacy app connected to the NHS App?

No. The NHS App is NHS England’s channel to the GP and to EPS. A pharmacy app is a channel to the pharmacy.

04

How much does a pharmacy app cost?

Marketplace listings are cheap or free; white-label apps are quoted per pharmacy on top of the website tier they run on; custom development is tens of thousands plus maintenance.
